Illuminated stained glass art.
This piece of unusual art is completely hand crafted and consists of a wall mounted light-box plus a stained glass panel measuring 48cm x 36cm (approx overall). Over 500 very low energy, miniature LEDs are fitted inside the light-box. This ensures a more even light dispersal than conventional light bulbs. It is operated by remote control giving a convenient way to switch the light on and operate the dimming function. Opalescent stained glass is used for the piece of art which is handmade using the copper foil technique. The fully enclosed light-box is wired to a switchable 240v mains supply and fixed to the wall by two picture hanging features on the back. The stained glass piece of art is then placed over the light box and fixed separately to the wall. A full fitting kit with instructions is provided. The light-box can remain permanently fixed to the wall and the stained glass art piece can be changed to suit the season, mood or occasion without the need to rewire. The stained glass pictured is made of orange, black, white and yellows which evoke a secure sense of warmth, be it Summer sunshine or a Winter's open fire.
